We care

The LVMH and Kering groups have always aimed to be exemplary in their social responsibility and contributions to society. Both family companies and major forces in the luxury industry, they place respect for women and men – whether employees, partners or other stakeholders – at the very heart of their values.

This is why in September 2017, at the initiative of François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kering, and Antoine Arnault, a member of the Board of Directors of LVMH, the two groups published a Charter on working relations with fashion models and their well-being. This text, which was prepared in collaboration with numerous industry professionals, has been adopted by all the houses of the two groups and applies to both fashion shows and photo shoots for advertising campaigns.

Because our two groups believe that this Charter should be just the first step and we want to encourage all the different stakeholders in the industry to actively engage with this initiative. We have therefore expanded the initiative by creating a website – wecareformodels.com – which provides models with information and advice from professionals concerning well-being, as well as first-person comments. The objective is for the men and women who work with us to adopt this process and play an active role to drive changes to their profession.

WITH THIS PIONEERING CHARTER WE WANT TO INSPIRE THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY AND INITIATE REAL CHANGE IN THE WORKING CONDITIONS OF FASHION MODELS.
François-Henri Pinault
Chairman and CEO of Kering
The well-being of models is of great importance to us. As the leader in the luxury sector, we believe it is our role to be at the forefront of this initiative.
